Strictly aerobic, rod shaped bacteria 1. Able to utilise a limited number of carbon sources for growth, such as methanol, xylose, D-glucose, D-galactose, D-fructose, lactose, glycerol, dulcitol, DL-alanine and asparagine 1. Nothing is known of their physiology in situ.
