Description

Novel phylotype with no known associated physiological information. FISH probes have been designed that cover both the Kaga01 and p7o14 phylotypes (both members of the family ABS-19). FISH-Microautoradiography has been applied to characterise these organisms although no positive results were obtained making it difficult to draw conclusions about their activities 1. Cells are observed as small rods distributed throughout the floc.
