Fysiologi

Aerob. Ingen nitratreduktion. Bruger glukose, pyruvat, eddikesyre, n-butyrat, isobutyrat og etanol som substrat. Hydrolyserer bl.a. fedt, men ikke protein, gelatine, stivelse og DNA. Bruger flere langkædede hydrokaroboner.

Udbredelse og anlægs/proces-forhold

Dietzia kan gro ved basisk og netral pH. De findes mange steder i naturen.
